Write for us
We welcome clear, original contributions that help readers understand cricket: its laws, formats, tactics, equipment, language or the experience of following a match. A strong piece explains one subject well rather than trying to cover the whole game.
What makes a good pitch
Send a concise proposal through the Contact page. Name the subject, explain the central question the piece will answer, say who it will help and outline the approach. A useful pitch has a distinct angle, a clear scope and enough explanation to show why the subject matters to readers.
Writing expectations
We look for original work in a patient, orderly voice. Define specialist terms, distinguish laws from tactics and customs, and avoid unsupported claims. Contributions should not rely on invented quotations, unverified match details or material copied from elsewhere.
Sending work
Use the Contact page to send a proposal or ask an editorial question. Please include any relevant experience or published examples only if you choose; we do not require particular credentials. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we will discuss the scope before requesting a full piece.
A score is only one way to read a match.
The shape of an over, a fielding choice or a change of format can tell a story too. We explain those details without assuming you already know the game.
